THE MOST INNOVATIVE WRANGLER

13.10.2014 - by  CRS Molteni Vernici

Molteni Vernici certainly does not go unnoticed at the Mondial de l'Automobile 2014 in Paris, where once again proves to not fail its extraordinary industrial creativity and its ability to innovate and design and make itself known during interviews of numerous blogs and companies in the sector, including Autoblog.it and Caranddriver.com, which see the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Stealth as the undisputed star of the Paris show.

"At the Paris Show 2014, the FCA group showed the news of its brands leaving ample space also for Mopar, the reference brand for services, original spare parts, customization accessories and Customer Care. To accompany us on our journey to discover the Mopar brand was Fabrizio Curci, Head of EMEA Mopar Parts & Service, who told us about the very special customized Jeep Wrangler Rubicon presented at the Paris Show 2014.

In fact, Mopar should not be thought of as brand that manages only the spare parts and the after sales services of the FCA Group: Mopar offers a huge catalogue of accessories created to customize all the cars of the various brands in the orbit of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Mopar in fact gives a different cut to each line of personalization depending on the orientation of the brand. For Jeep, for example, the accessories offered are of a technical nature, designed to further improve off-road capabilities, with customers who can, however, choose components designed to make the interior more elegant, like the leather upholstery of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon exhibited in Paris.

However, Mopar has also created a special accessory line dedicated to the Jeep Renegade that make the vehicle even more appealing. In Paris, the Jeep Renegade presented itself with the star "US Army" on the bonnet and side doors, grille and mirror covers in glossy black, roof bars, light bar "Renegade Style".

The car is completed with carpets made of premium black carpets, the sill with the Jeep logo, the tubular side cushions and the valve caps with the Jeep logo, are only some accessories from the extensive catalogue. In fact, Mopar offers more than 25,000 high quality accessories in over 130 countries. Developed in collaboration with the design team of each vehicle, all the products are exclusive and they harmoniously agree with the various models, respecting their technical, stylistic and mechanical characteristics.

At the Paris Show in 2014 the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Stealth show car was presented, "moparized" in every detail, from bumper to bumper, thanks to a complete set-up of original Mopar accessories. It is an extreme technical preparation designed for the most demanding off-road without forgetting the aesthetics aspect, in which no detail is left out: from the Performance hood with air intakes, enriched by the black mesh grille, to the brand new LED light bar.

The original bumpers have been replaced by the pair of off-road bumpers (Rubicon X design) and, together with the flat mudguards, rock rails, booster kit and 37-inch tires, make the Rubicon Stealth an unstoppable example of off-road seven loopholes. The mirror caps and the Jeep tank cap, the half-doors and the 17 "wheels are a further touch of personalization that the enthusiasts of the brand will appreciate.

To complete the show car, an aesthetic configuration that makes it absolutely unique, born from the collaboration between the Jeep brand, Mopar and the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Style Center. The body is characterized by a materic varnish with an oxidised effect, Iron Peltrox, while the exclusive interior of the Wrangler features seats and components upholstered in vintage style leather. – “A one-off Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with “rust-effect” Iron Peltrox textured paint on a show stand in Europe? It doesn’t mean Kilroy was here, but it does mean Mopar has been. Powered by a 2.8-liter diesel and dubbed Stealth, the show car was a joint production by Jeep, Mopar, and FCA’s Centro Stile in Orbassano, outside Turin. To match the faux-patina paint job suggestive of a barn find, the interior has been dressed out in vintage leather and upholstery. And then, of course, the designers dipped deep into the Mopar accessories catalog. A “performance bonnet with air vents,” black mesh grille, and LED light bar join Rubicon X off-road bumpers, flat fenders, rock rails, a lift kit, and 37-inch tires on 17-inch rims to give it off-road cred. Further dress-up items include half-doors, mirror caps, and a fuel-filler cap with the Jeep logo.

It’s the Mopar logo they’re really pushing, of course, now that the division serves all the corporate brands. Jeep’s Paris stand also featured a Mopar-tweaked Renegade emblazoned with U.S. Army–style stars on doors and hood, and the company touted other work on the Fiat 500L, Alfa Romeo Giulietta, and accessories for Abarth. Remember when Mopar pretty much made you think “Hemi?”.

(Fonte Jeeppress-europe.fr)
