What is the craquele-effect finish?

The Craquele effect finish It is a coating that reproduces the cracking pattern characteristic of aged painted surfaces, where the layers of paint recede creating visible and decorative fracture lines.

Unlike a naturally aged surface, painted craquele is distinguished by:

  • Controlled pattern — size and distribution of calibrated cracks
  • Chromatic contrast — color of the base visible through fractures
  • Stability — the pattern does not evolve or degrade
  • Customizability — fine, medium or large cracks
  • Support protection — the wood is protected, not degraded

Cycle: preparation → color base → craquele layer → surface color → protective transparent.
