Developed by the Molteni Vernici Research and Development Center, WP.VELVET™ is a 2K water-based two-component finish designed to replicate the fabric effect without using textile materials. Its unique formulation creates a uniform, warm, and pleasant-to-the-touch surface, capable of evoking the softness of velvet while maintaining the high performance required by industrial production and contemporary architecture.

Designed for the world of interior design, high-end furniture, luxury retail, hospitality, contract furnishing, marine, and product design, WP.VELVET™ finds application in boutiques, flagship stores, hotels, showrooms, contemporary villas, spas, and exclusive residences. One of the main strengths of WP.VELVET™ is its ability to adhere directly to major metallic substrates, including iron, zamak, aluminum, brass, silver, and bronze, as well as plastics, MDF, and wood, eliminating the need for primers or adhesion promoters in most applications and helping to simplify the entire production cycle.

Its unique formulation with high covering power maintains its aesthetic softness even in areas subject to frequent use. Unlike traditional fabric-effect finishes, WP.VELVET™ is designed not to polish or shine in areas subject to rubbing or mechanical abrasion, preserving the uniformity and quality of the surface over time.

Applicable by pneumatic spray and dryable at both low and high temperatures, WP.VELVET™ easily integrates into industrial production processes, offering high flexibility, maximum repeatability, and optimized processing times.
