Polished Galvanic Vetrowax™
VetroWax™ is the transparent finish developed by Molteni Vernici to enhance metal surfaces with authentic mirrored galvanic effects, protecting their brilliance, depth, and aesthetic quality over time. This technology is designed to offer the elegance of polished electroplating with a simple, controlled, and highly repeatable application process.
Developed by the Molteni Vernici Research and Development Center, VetroWax™ is a 1K single-component glossy finish with direct adhesion to major polished, satin, and brushed metals, as well as polished nickel galvanic coatings. Its unique formulation allows for exquisite mirrored finishes inspired by Brass, 18K Gold, 24K Gold, Rose Gold, Nickel Black, Chrome Black, Bronze, and Titanium, while fully preserving the quality of the original surface.
Designed for the world of interior design, luxury retail, hospitality, contract furnishing, product design, and high-end furniture, VetroWax™ finds application in boutiques, flagship stores, hotels, showrooms, contemporary villas, and exclusive residences. It is ideal for doors, decorative panels, frames, uprights, seating, tables, handles, lighting, appliances, accessories, and furniture components where the surface's brilliance is a distinctive element of the design.
The VetroWax™ technology represents a valid alternative to traditional electrogalvanic coatings, allowing for an aesthetic extremely close to polished electroplating without the production constraints associated with galvanic processes, such as dimensional limits, high plant costs, repeatability difficulties, and waste management. The result is an elegant, stable, and perfectly controllable surface, even in industrial production.
One of the main strengths of VetroWax™ is its extreme ease of application. The product can be dried at room temperature or at low temperatures, making it ideal for heat-sensitive components and for companies without drying ovens. Application is carried out using traditional pneumatic painting equipment, ensuring high surface uniformity and avoiding accumulations, drips, or defects typical of traditional galvanic systems.
Directly applicable to nickel-plated iron, aluminum, zamak, brass, silver, and polished nickel galvanized surfaces, VetroWax™ offers high performance in terms of adhesion, scratch resistance, wear resistance, chemical agents, and detergents, maintaining the finish's brilliance and aesthetic quality over time.
