Varnish Effect Rust
WP.RUSTY™ brings the authentic charm of natural rust to a new generation of entirely water-based finishes. Developed to combine sustainability, high technical performance, and aesthetic excellence, it transforms any surface into a material rich in character, depth, and naturalness, reinterpreting the language of oxidation in a contemporary key.
Developed by Molteni Vernici's Research and Development Center, WP.RUSTY™ is a 100% water-based 2K two-component finish that reproduces the look of real rust on a wide range of materials, offering a uniform, textured, and perfectly controlled surface. The result is a finish that retains all the expressive power of oxidized metal while eliminating the typical problems of real corrosion and ensuring high aesthetic stability over time.
Designed for the world of interior and outdoor design, high-end furniture, luxury retail, hospitality, contract, marine, and architecture, WP.RUSTY™ enhances boutiques, flagship stores, hotels, resorts, showrooms, contemporary lofts, villas, restaurants, museums, and exclusive residences. WP.RUSTY™ can be used both indoors and outdoors with Molteni Vernici's specific water-based cycles. The 100% water-based, formaldehyde-free, and low-VOC formulation helps reduce environmental impact and emissions during the production process, offering a sustainable solution without compromising finish quality.
Through specific protective cycles, WP.RUSTY™ offers high performance in terms of resistance to wear, scratches, aging, atmospheric agents, UV rays, chemical agents, food, thermal shock, and salt corrosion, preserving the chromatic richness and aesthetic quality of the surface over time.

APPLICATION
Product created from new generation’s hybrid resins, the special finishings of the series Rusty™ Effect have been studied to be one-coat products, just in order to be applied in short times and with low costs on every kind of metal, plastic or wooden support (with the employment of specific adhesion primers). The new finishings Rusty™ Effect are able to perfectly reproduce the typical iron’s oxidation both from the visual and from the tactile point of view.
