Oxidant for Brass and Copper

GREENOX™ is the reagent developed by Molteni Vernici to create authentic natural oxidations in characteristic verdigris shades, transforming brass, copper, and bronze through a genuine chemical reaction. The result is a living surface, rich in copper green and Pompeian green nuances, capable of expressing all the beauty of patinas that nature creates over time.

Developed by the Molteni Vernici Research and Development Center, GREENOX™ reacts directly with brass, copper, bronze, and with PowerMetal™ liquid metals Brass PM-2420, Bronze PM-2400, and Copper PM-2410, activating a real oxidation process that generates unique surfaces, characterized by continuous chromatic variations and a high material richness.

Designed for the world of interior and outdoor design, high-end furniture, luxury retail, hospitality, contract, marine, and architecture, GREENOX™ is ideal for boutiques, flagship stores, hotels, resorts, showrooms, contemporary villas, museums, art installations, and exclusive residences. It finds application on decorative paneling, doors, boiserie, scenic walls, reception desks, counters, sculptural elements, cladding, custom furniture, and architectural details where the natural evolution of the material becomes the protagonist of the design.

The unique formulation allows for the development of characteristic verdigris shades, with nuances reminiscent of the historic patinas of metals exposed to time, enhancing the surface with an authentic, elegant, and highly tactile aesthetic language. Each treatment evolves naturally, making each creation unique.

Unlike traditional decorative finishes, GREENOX™ does not reproduce the verdigris effect, but generates a true metal oxidation, allowing copper, bronze, and brass themselves to build their own chromatic identity through a natural chemical reaction.

The ready-to-use single-component formulation can be applied by spraying, brushing, or immersion, easily adapting to both artisanal craftsmanship and industrial processes, and allowing for the treatment of small, medium, and large elements, including particularly complex geometries.

GREENOX™ can be used both indoors and outdoors using specific application cycles. The oxidized surfaces can then be protected with Molteni Vernici's specific systems to stabilize the aesthetic result and ensure high performance resistance to atmospheric agents, UV rays, wear, and detergents.
